Traffic is back to normal in Pelahatchie after a train and 18-wheeler collided Friday night.
The crossing guards and lights appeared to be back in working condition Saturday afternoon. Debris could be seen near where the crash happened at Highways 43 and 80.
Rankin County Emergency Operations says the crash happened.
Writing on the side of the truck indicates it belongs to McDonald Trucking in Pelahatchie.
It's unclear why the truck was on the tracks at the time of accident.
Emergency crews say the unidentified driver made a risky move, that possibly saved his life.
"The truck driver actually jumped out of the vehicle when he saw the impact was immanent. So his injuries were minor," said Bob Wedgeworth, Director of Rankin County EOC.
Kansas City Southern Railroad and the State Department Of Environmental Quality assisted in the clean up effort.
Pelahatchie police and Kansas City Southern Railroad have not released any information about the accident.
