A three-vehicle collision sent six people to the hospital.  One of them is in serious condition.

The Jones County Fire Council, which provided the photo, says the crash happened Thursday afternoon on Highway 11 North at Burnt Bridge Road.

Officials on scene say a grey Ford Freestar was traveling north on the highway – and turned into the path of a southbound black Pontiac Sunfire G-T.  Officials add the Freestar then spun and clipped a white Cadillac Northstar -- that was waiting on Burnt Bridge to turn south.

Names of the victims were not released.  Officials say a passenger of the Freestar has serious and possibly life-threatening injuries.  Other victims are hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
