HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The autopsies from Wednesday's Dixie Avenue shooting have been returned from Jackson.  The shooting that left 37 year-old Douglas Regan and 34 year-old Cindy Zepeda dead has officially been ruled a murder-suicide.  Zepeda died from multiple gunshot wounds, and Regan died from a single bullet wound to the head.

Officers said their bodies were both discovered in the backyard after responding to a domestic disturbance call at a house on the 400 block of Dixie Avenue, a relatives's house of one of the victims.

Sources say Regan and Zepeda were not married, but did have children together.  Amy Clark, the woman who says she was dating Regan at the time says he was a good man, but distressed at the situation with his children.

"They broke up in January, and he just really missed his kids.  I kept telling him to speak to an attorney, but Monday he kept saying he was going to leave the country," said Clark.
