A 6-year-old Oak Grove boy is giving back to a hospital that helped save his life. Conner Graham is collecting non-perishable snacks for Blair E. Batson Chidren's Hospital in Jackson.
They'll be placed in breakrooms near patient beds so families won't have to go far if they get hungry.
Conner has been treated several times at the hospital for a serious brain illness.
"This is a big deal for us and for Conner especially, who's been wanting a way to give back," said Amy Graham, Conner's mother.
"We want them to bring honey buns, apple sauce, raisins, pop-tarts," said Conner.
A collection box has been set up at G&G Hardware in Oak Grove. Donations will accepted through July 20.
Donations will also be accepted during a yard sale at the family's home on Goar Road in Oak Grove on Saturday, June 30.
