Forecast track for Debby as of 4 PM Saturday afternoon.Tropical Storm Debby has officially formed in the central Gulf of Mexico.
As of 8 PM Saturday evening, maximum winds we at 50 mph, and movement was nearly stationary.
The forecast track from the National Hurricane Center has Debby moving slowly to the north, before making a sharp turn to the west. This would have it making an eventual landfall along Texas as a strong Tropical Storm late next week. If this track holds true, then the impact locally will be minimal.
Keep in mind, a lot of uncertainty still exists with this forecast track. If it should move further north, we would of course feel more of an impact. It's something we need to watch closely through the weekend!
