D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

D'Iberville Police believe they've caught the woman who shoplifted from Walmart last week, then tazed an employee who tried to stop her.

Police Chief Wayne Payne identified the suspect as Tiffany Wheeler, 29, of Biloxi. She's charged with Robbery and Possession of Robbery Tools.

The shoplifting incident happened last Tuesday around 9pm at the D'Iberville Walmart. After surveillance photos from the store hit the news, police said numerous tips came in directing them to Wheeler, who turned herself in Monday.

Lieutenant Terry Hines said once Wheeler used the stun gun on the employee to get away with the merchandise, her charges were upgraded from shoplifting to robbery.

If convicted of both charges, she faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine. Wheeler is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $150,000 bond set by Judge Albert Fountain.
