Jones County resident participates in Las Vegas workout

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A Jones County native will be one of the 5,000 participating in the Annual Team Beach Body Coach Summit workout in Las Vegas.

Personal trainer and Beach Body Coach Leland Yarnell will be working out in the Las Vegas strip with several celebrity fitness coaches in what is called "The Super Workout."

The Super Workout happens once a year with hopes of educating more people on ways to "end the trend" of obesity in the United States. Yarnell has been a certified Beach Body Coach for almost 2 years now.

A Beach Body Coach is a personal trainer that helps people lose weight at home through workouts such as P90x, Insanity, and so forth. In fact, 2 of the celebrity trainers at the event are the creators of P90x, Tony Horton, and Shawn T, the creator of Insanity. He also helps people with nutrition and diet plans, and meets with his members as a group over Facebook to discuss any problems, or questions the members face during their weight loss process.

Yarnell was eligible for the workout by being a Beach Body Coach. Each celebrity trainer will have 5-10 minutes to teach an intense cardio workout from their particular programs.

Yarnell is grateful for the opportunity.

"I feel much gratification from being a part of this workout just because I know we are doing something huge as a company that the United States, or possibly the world has ever seen before," Yarnell said. "To know that I am a part in helping end the trend of obesity in Laurel, the United States and even the world is pretty special to me."

A fellow Beach Body Coach Donnie Evans believes Leland will bring much to the table at the workout.

"Leland has goals to help "end the trend" of obesity like all of us Coaches, so he will definitely thrive in an atmosphere where thousands of like minded individuals come together for a common purpose," Evans said.

Evans will be joining Leland at the Super Workout for the first time as well.

Yarnell will be in Las Vegas June 22- 24.  He is most excited to meet the celebrity trainers that helped him transform his own body.

"All of the celebrity trainers have helped me go from an overweight, lazy, tired, no confidence person to someone who isn't afraid to be seen at the pool with my shirt off without being embarrassed," Yarnell said.  "Mostly, I am healthy for once in my life."

The featured celebrity trainers for the workout includeTony Horton (P90X®), Shaun T (Insanity®, Insanity: The Asylum® and Hip Hop Abs®), Chalene Johnson (Turbo Jam® and TurboFire®), Leandro Carvalho (Brazil Butt Lift®), Brett Hoebel (RevAbs®) and Debbie Siebers (Slim in 6®).
