Ellisville renovating City Hall

Ellisville workers are renovating City Hall.

Renovations to make Ellisville more handicapped accessible have been underway since the beginning of May.

City Hall has been installing handicap ramps, and will soon move to painting lines in the city as well as adding more handicapped parking spaces throughout the month of June.

Mayor Thomas Waldrup is very excited about the changes in Ellisville.

"We received a $300,000 grant from the state to complete these renovations," Waldrup said. "Everything should be done by the end of June, and bids for street lines and parking spaces begin June 12."

The citizens of Ellisville spoke up about the lack of handi-capable accessiblities for the city, and the mayor took action.

"We want to help with any need, and we want Ellisville to be accessible for all of our citizens."
