MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -
A Marion County man accused of murdering his parents on Tuesday was caught and arrested in neighboring Pike County late Wednesday afternoon, but not before state and local officials spent the day looking for the man they described as "armed and extremely dangerous."
Authorities began searching around midnight after Marion County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a home where found the bodies of Gerald and Rebecca Hutson; apparently dead from gunshot wounds. They soon suspected their son, Shawn Bradley Louge, 24.
A warrant for his arrest on two counts of capital murder was immediately issued. A 20-person team composed of Marion County authorities and people from Mississippi Bureau of Investigation meticulously combed over Marion County.
A truck officials believed Louge stole from a friend was discovered in a wooded area near the borderline of Marion and Lamar County. Late Wednesday, authorities tracked Louge's cell phone to a location in Pike County. Louge was arrested at a traffic stop while driving his mother's car. Authorities also recovered a 12-gauge shotgun, believed to be the murder weapon, from the scene.
Logue was arrested in 2010 and later released after being convicted for head lighting deer, illegal possession of a deer, and hunting from a public road. Louge is being charged with two counts of capital murder.
