Wayne County seeks community recruitment

WAYNE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The opportunity to improve the community is now offered by a Wayne County volunteer group.

The Wayne County Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers (MHV) has extended an invitation for their membership recruitment reception on Friday, June 8, from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Waynesboro/Wayne County Library.

The MHV club is open to anyone over the age of 18 with the goal to improve their community and volunteer skills.  The club allows members to participate in their club meetings, county council meetings, local workshops and activities.

Members also have the privilege to participate in leadership training, service projects and much more.  Along with the many advantages of community events, the club also extends opportunities to state-wide events, and workshops.

Fees include a 6 dollar membership charge, excluding any registration fees or event fees that may be present at workshops or activities.

For more information regarding MHV and their recruitment reception, please contact the group at 601-735-2243, or email at wayne@ext.msstate.edu.  The group also has a Facebook page.
