Wilkinson County escapees captured in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Two escaped inmates from the Wilkinson County Community Work Center in Woodville Mississippi were captured in Hattiesburg Friday morning.

While responding to a domestic dispute, Hattiesburg police discovered Robert Eugene Lee,19 and Raymond Madison, 19 at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Country Club Road.

Lee and Madison were discovered missing from the work center at about 11 p.m. Thursday night. They were spotted early Friday morning in the Hattiesburg area in a stolen Ford Taurus.

Lee is serving a seven-year sentence for convictions of burglary of a residence and burglary of a stolen vehicle in Forrest County. Madison is serving a six year sentence for two burglary convictions in Forrest County.

Both of the men now face multiple more charges including escape.
