Lauren Rogers Museum of Art holds faculty exhibition

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

You can find art from those who know it best at May's Mississippi Art Faculty Juried Exhibition at the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art.

The exhibit features work by some of the state's leading artists from four-year colleges and universities. You can find 60 works by 51 artists from 13 different schools at the exhibition.

Best of Show has been awarded to Chung-Fan Chang for his oil painting "Han's Land."


June 27th will be the final showcase of the exhibit.

    Jones County Junior College sophomore right-hander Will Freeman struck out a season-high 18 batters in a complete-game effort Tuesday afternoon as the No. 3 Bobcats downed No. 4 Pearl River Community College 2-0 in the first game of a Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges’ baseball doubleheader. The victory moved the Bobcats (32-7, 17-4 MACJC) into a first-place tie with the Wildcats (31-8, 17-4) atop the league standings.
