Petal, the two-time defending 6A state champions fell at home to Harrison Central 8-3, while Southeast Lauderdale eliminated the four-time defending state champion Sumrall Bobcats 4-1.

Oak Grove survived at home 3-2, and will advance to the South State Championships, despite a gritty performance by visiting Gulfport.
