Gulf Coast Honor Flight veterans tour WWII Memorial

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WDAM) - World War Two Veterans with the Mississippi Gulf Coast honor flight toured the National World War Two Memorial around noon Tuesday.

They were led to the memorial as a group by a bagpipe player and were greeted by Sen. Roger Wicker and Rep. Steven Palazzo.

They then took a bus tour of other important sites before heading to a changing of the guard ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

    Following a school-record 55 wins and run that ended in an 8-7 loss in the NJCAA national championship, Jones County Junior College softball is eager to open the 2018 season on February 3. Coming that close to the school’s first national title serves as motivation enough for the Lady Bobcats. Regardless, expectations are always high for coach Chris Robinson’s teams – JCJC is a combined 105-12 the last two seasons.
