ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) -

JCJC will be testing two propane powered Hustler mowers over the summer months.

Thanks to a B & B Distributing, Ellisville Auto Parts, and Blossman Propane the use of the mowers will be at no cost to the college. The mowers have been donated to the school for the summer to test the efficiency and see how much the college save using the cheaper fuel.

The brand new mowers have been converted and now can burn both gas and the cleaner burning propane.

"It's a trial series for a couple of months. We're gonna run them to see the saving they get with propane and we'll go from there," said Chad Gunn, territory manager, B & B Distributing.

The college will pay about $1.30 less a gallon for the fuel and is expected to save about $3300 during the summer.
