The Jaguars scored two runs in each of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings as they rallied from a 4-2 deficit. The Golden Eagles got solo runs in the second on a RBI single by Ashley Graeter and in the third on a groundout by Dillon Day.  Southern Miss grabbed their final advantage with a RBI double from Kameron Brunty and a groundout from Connor Barron in the fourth, before USA tied the score in the bottom of the frame and took the lead for good in the fifth.

After scoring their first run with one out in the third, the Jaguars plated their final seven tallies after two were out in an inning to hold the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles collected 14 hits in the game, including three hits from Blake Brown, Mason Robbins and Graeter, while Isaac Rodriguez and Brunty added a pair of hits for Southern Miss.
