Hattiesburg Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a wooded area next to a major retailer Saturday morning.
Acting on a tip, officers found the body in an area adjacent to the Highway 49 Walmart and Dollar Tree about 10 a.m.
The Forrest County Coroner's Office identified the victim only as caucasian and said he may have been dead for about a week.
His body will be taken to Jackson for autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
The coroner's office did say there were no visible signs of foul play.
