Laurel Leader Call Prints its Final Edition

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

For more than a century, the front page of the Laurel Leader Call brought news of war and peace, natural disasters and the routine events that happen every day in the small towns surrounding.

The newspaper published its final issue today. The owners ordered the presses to stop for good after its Thursday edition.

The shutdown puts 18 people out of work.
