New advocate looks to help lost, homeless, and unwanted pets

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Members of the Hub City Humane Society were at the Pet Palace on Hardy Street Saturday looking to find new homes for three young puppies.

Nine-month old Roxy, one-year-old Moose, and one-year-old Doobie are all currently in foster care and looking for their forever home.

The Hub City Humane Society is new in the last year and is looking to open up a new shelter in the area. Their goal is to build a community oriented shelter for lost, homeless, and unwanted pets.

"You can contact 601-268-1157 or you can look us up on the Hub City Humane Society facebook page," said Zachary Williams, Hub City Humane Society. "You can see a few pets available for adoption on the facebook page. If you see something you like you can call that number or message somebody on the page."

Until they can build their new shelter all pets are either being fostered or housed at a local veterinarian.
