JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Fourth District Congressman Steven Palazzo was at Mak's in Eastabuchie Tuesday morning doing some last minute campaigning.

Palazzo started his day by voting in Biloxi and then headed out to several appearances throughout the district to drum up last minute support.

Palazzo's opponents in the primary are Tea Party Conservative Ron Vincent and Republican Cindy Burleson.

He says it has been an honor and a privilege serving the people of South Mississippi and hopes they will send him back because there is still a lot to do.

"We have a lot of repair and damage that Barrack Obama and his administration has done in 2009 and 2010," said Palazzo. "I'm asking the people of South Mississippi to send me back to finish the work that is left to be done."

The winner in today's republican primary will go on to face the winner of the democratic primary between Michael Herrington and Jason Vitosky in the November elections. Also on the ticket is Liberation Ron Williams.
