Hancock Bank robbed on Hardy Street, police still searching

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police are still searching for a suspect who robbed the Hancock Bank on Hardy Street around 11 a.m and then escaped onto the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi on foot.

The suspect is a white male in with brown hair and goatee and wearing a gray hat, navy blue shirt with stripes and a brownish-green jacket with a white hood. The suspect may be pretending to be a student. He was last seen near the Liberal Arts Building.

Hattiesburg Police are searching buildings on and around campus. Police dogs are part of the search.
