Lady Eagles take down Marshall 63-55

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Sedreka Plummer led Southern Miss with 20 points and nine rebounds as the Lady Eagles beat Marshall 63-55 Thursday. The Lady Eagles have now won five of their last six games.

Plummer, who had a team high 13 points in the first half, hit a jumper with 5:58 left in the opening half to give Southern Miss a 17-15 lead, and the Lady Eagles never trailed for the rest of the game. Tanecka Carey had 18 points in her 40 minutes of action.

The Lady Eagles are now 11-16 (5-9). Southern Miss will close out the season with its final home game against UAB Sunday at 2pm before wrapping up the regular season at East Carolina Thursday, March 1.
