JCJC holds it seventh annual economic symposium

ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - On Thursday, Jones County Junior College hosted its 7th Annual Economic Symposium.

Dozens of business leaders from around the Pine Belt gathered at the Jones County Junior College Ronald Whitehead Advance Technology Center for the event.

Cindy Hyde-Smith, Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce says agriculture is a $7 billion industry that effects every Mississippian.

Blake Wilson, President of the Mississippi Economic Council agrees and says because of this industry the state is in good shape.
