JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A Jones County judge set bond Tuesday for a 19-year-old man facing close to 100 years in jail if convicted.

Justice Court Judge Howell Beach set a $200,000 cash bond for Seth Cobb who is being held in Jones County Jail on sexual assault, kidnapping, and aggravated assault charges.

According to investigators, Cobb allegedly beat, raped, and stabbed a 51-year-old Jones County woman in her Sharon home.

Cobb's mother, Lori Cobb, says she can't believe her son would ever do such thing.

She said her son may have potentially snapped because he suffers from bi-polar disorder and ADHD.

Authorities say the victim remains hospitalized and is slowly recovering.
