INDIANAPOLIS (WXIN/CNN) - An Indiana crowd watched as a grandmother ziplined at a Super Bowl event.

For the young and the young at heart, the zipline ride was full of people of all ages.

"I'm here to see my mother go on an adventure," said David Shaw

Ruth Shaw, 77, was one of the handful of people invited by the Super Bowl Host committee to ride the line before it opened.

"I'm going with one of my favorite people, Ruth Shaw, the mayor of the east side," said Mark Miles, Mayor of Indianapolis.

Ruth was anxious but ready.

"I'm here on time and I'm dressed. That was my nightmare that I kept having. I'd either get here and it'd all be over with or I didn't have all my clothes on and I was trying to cover up," Ruth said.

With the harnesses strapped and a quick climb to the top, Ruth took off with no problems.

"So people will know without any worries that if she can do it, I can do it," Ruth said.
