Theater students from Oak Grove High School have taken top honors at the Mississippi Theater Association's state competition in Gulfport.
Their performance of the play, The Junglebook was selected as Best Production during the event held the weekend of Jan. 14.
Several students from Oak Grove also received individual honors.
It's the 6th time in the last 16 years that the school has received a Best Production award at state competition.
"It's such a great accomplishment, we've worked so hard for this," said cast member Stephanie Weiss.
"For us to go from drama fest and make it to state and then win was a phenomenal feeling," said Xavier Martin, another cast member who also won the award for best actor.
Oak Grove will now head to the Southeastern Theater Conference in March to compete with schools from 10 other states.
