UPDATE: Young girl dies in hospital after Greene Co. car collision

A third victim in Friday's head-on collision in Greene county has died. Hallie Beal, 11, who was in critical condition at a Jackson hospital died Tuesday morning. Her parents Tammy Beal, 37, and Billy Joe Beal, 45, were also killed in that accident.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that the collision occurred around 5:00 PM Friday.  The vehicles collided on Highway 42.  The three members of the Beal family, from the Sand Hill community, were killed when their Chevrolet, S-10 pickup, traveling westbound towards Richton, was struck by a Mazda CX-9 traveling east.  Witnesses report that the Mazda drifted into the Chevrolet's lane.

The driver of the Mazda, was transported with injuries to Forrest General Hospital. 

Family members have set up a fund to help cover the cost of the funeral. Donations can be dropped off at the Jones Funeral home in Richton.
