In a recent poll on WDAM.COM more than 95 percent of those who voted said people convicted of a violent crime should not be pardoned.
Today, Seven On Your Side spoke with a 35-year-old convicted felon who committed a crime at the age of 17.
He's now married and has kids with a degree in technology, but says it's so hard for him to find a job in his field because of a crime he committed when he was a teenager.
He says he doesn't agree with Governor Haley Barbour releasing murderers and rapists, but he believes many convicted felons deserve a second chance.
