Bond set for Perry County man charged in death

PERRY COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Bond has been set at $350,000 for a New Augusta man charged with manslaughter.

Timothy Daryl Odom, 40, made his initial court appearance this morning. Odom is charged in the December 22 death of 53-year-old Joseph Lott of Beaumont.

Perry County authorities said the two got into a physical altercation at a home on William Lott Road in Beaumont.

The initial autopsy report indicated Lott died as a result of strangulation.
