HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Christmas was made a little brighter for many in the community by the employees of Treasure Hunt and Dirt Cheap.
Many of the employees gave up part of their Christmas morning to pass out gifts to the less fortunate. Items included toys, games, strollers and more. Everything was donated by the owners of Treasure Hunt and Dirt Cheap. Rob Roberts, CEO of Treasure Hunt and Dirt Cheap, said they just want to show what Christmas is all about which is giving.
"I grew up in a single parent home. My mom raised four kids by herself," said Roberts. "I know how tough it is at this time of year. I just want to help out. This community has been good to us and we just want to make something out of Christmas here."
This was the second year for the event and the first time it was held at Christian Services.
