HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - One local Christian service organization offered an early, annual Christmas feast Tuesday for some of the less-fortunate people in our area. An annual Christmas lunch was provided by the folks at Hattiesburg's Christian Services. It featured turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce and plenty of dessert.
Holiday music was also provided during the lunch.
"This is specifically directed toward Christmas, toward the birth of Christ, toward the story of Christ, toward the true meaning of what this season is all about," said Elaine Hartfield, director of outreach and ministry development for Christian Services. "It's really about giving," Hartfield said.
Christian Services also provides hundreds of meals every weekday to those in need.
