HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the killing of 27-year old Ebony Jenkins.

Jenkins' body was found Friday, Dec. 9 in the woods off West 7th Street near Highway 49. The autopsy revealed she had been shot multiple times. Jenkins was reported missing Thursday after she failed to show up for work at Kohl's in Hattiesburg. Hattiesburg detectives have questioned several people but no arrests have been made.

"Ebony Jenkins was a person that a lot of people loved in this area. She was a former USM basketball player," said Diane James,  Metro Crime Stoppers Coordinator. "So a lot of people are upset, especially her family. We just want to bring the family some closure."

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 601-582-7867 or contact the Hattiesburg Police Department. Calls remain anonymous.
