HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Friends of University Libraries at USM is collecting children's books to donate to The Salvation Army.
The books will be used to distribute to needy children when providing Christmas packages for families. New unwrapped books should be age appropriate for infants through the age of 12. Drop off boxes are at businesses through Friday, Dec. 9.Participating businesses include The First Bank, Peoples Bank, and Regions Bank throughout Hattiesburg and the Gulf Coast. Donations will also be accepted at any Southern Miss Library through December, 18.
The Friends of University Libraries is a new organization whose goal is to provide support for the research, teaching, and public service mission of the university's libraries.
