I came to WDAM from Washington, D.C., where I was a digital journalist for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams - reporting and producing stories for the website. Prior to that, I worked as a desk assistant in the NBC News Washington bureau.
Before moving to NBC, I was a production assistant for the British television company ITN in their Washington bureau, working mainly on the network's evening news program. My first job in the capitol was a desk assistant position at The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, which became the PBS NewsHour during my time there.
I moved to D.C. from Amman, Jordan, where I was working as a reporter for the The Jordan Times, the kingdom's English newspaper, and studying Arabic.
I attended the University of Michigan, where I graduated with a major in history and a minor in African studies. During college, I reported for the campus newspaper The Michigan Daily and interned and later become a production assistant and writer for WJBK-TV in Detroit
