WDAM Viewpoint- Pine Belt Football

Posted: Updated:

12/1/11

Congratulations and best wishes are due for several Pine Belt football teams as they play for some big titles this weekend.  Petal will be playing for the Division 6A State Championship, Laurel for the 4A and East Marion for the 2A title.  It takes a lot of talent, discipline and determination to reach that level of excellence and we hope they all bring their Division Championships home to the WDAM viewing area.  In addition to that, this Saturday will see Southern Miss battling Houston on the gridiron for the Conference USA Championship.  The Golden Eagles have had a great season and we would love to see them finish it off by pulling an upset over highly favored Houston and winning the title game.  We are proud of all these athletes and their accomplishments and wish them success off the field as well as on.  I'm Jim Cameron, and as always we'd like to hear from you.
