While folks were out in force shopping on Black Friday many volunteers were manning their posts as bell ringers for the Salvation Army.
Red Kettles could be found at many of the department and grocery stores throughout the Pine Belt. The bell ringers are all volunteers wanting to make life better for those who are less fortunate. Donations in the Red Kettle Campaign helps to fund the many services provided by the Salvation Army to include shelter for the homeless, family services, the Boys and Girls Club and much more.
The Red Kettle Campaign dates back to the 1890's.
