LUMBERTON, MS (WDAM) - A Lumberton businessman who once received the key to the city was arrested by Lumberton police Wednesday morning.
Miles Smith, known as "The Bishop" to local residents, is facing six counts of felony forgery in Gulfport. The charges against Smith in Gulfport stem from alleged fraudulent hiring practices. Lumberton police said Smith could also face possible identity theft charges in Lumberton.
