Many in Jones County still without power

THE FOLLOWING IS A PRESS RELEASE FROM DIXIE POWER

Line crews and servicemen from Dixie Electric Power Association continue to set poles and restore electric service to members in Jones County whose homes were in the path of this morning's tornado.

Approximately 500 members are still without electric service as of 1:45 p.m. today.

Dixie Electric's four line crews and five crews from MDR are working in the area to restore service. Service personnel are answering member calls in the Laurel office.

Remember to stay away from downed power lines, and drive with caution through utility work areas.
