JCJC students pledge to recycle

ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - In conjunction with National Recycling Day members of the Jones County Junior College Eco-bobcats were out in force encouraging fellow students and faculty to pledge to recycle.

The Eco-bobcats set up a table in front of the C.L. Neill Student Center hoping to get hundreds to make the Pledge. The club was formed in the fall and is made up of about 90 students who are concerned about the environment. One of their goals is to increase awareness about the importance of recycling to help protect the environment.

Later in the day members of the club went to South Jones Elementary School in Ellisville to encourage the students there to sign the pledge.
