HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Oseola McCarty Youth Development Center in Hattiesburg is getting ready to kick off their 7th annual Operation Christmas Sleeve.
Operation Christmas Sleeve gives low income parents the opportunity to provide their children with presents at Christmas. Applications for Christmas gift assistance will be accepted from November 28th to December 1st. Parents will need to register at the youth center which is located at 607 McSwain Street.
Parents will also be asked to provide proof of income, birth certificates, and social security numbers of all the children. The program targets low income single parent households and grandparents who are raising children. Those getting Christmas gift assistance from other agencies will not qualify for the program.
No applications will be accepted after December 1st.
