Stion updates progress at First Friday breakfast

HATTIESBURG (WDAM) - Representatives from Stion gave positive updates on the facility during the ADP's First Friday breakfast.

Brad Miles, vice president of manufacturing operations, says the company has already hired 120 out of 172 that the company plans to staff as part of the first phase of the factory this spring.

Miles says the factory will go to approximately 1000 employees over the next four to five years. Miles says the first panel was fresh off the line on September 30th, and the production ramp will start next January.

Miles says Stion is making a direct impact towards employment in the Pine Belt.
