HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Students From Southern Miss and Hattiesburg High School had an opportunity to tour the C-SPAN Campaign 2012 Tour Bus Thursday.
The Road to the White House bus was on the U-S-M Campus Thursday morning and at Hattiesburg High School in the afternoon.
The bus travels the country to promote and enhance C-Span's executive resources and political coverage by attending major political events. It also travels around the country visiting schools giving students and teachers an inside look at the networks educational and political resources.
C-SPAN is funded by the cable industry and not funded by the Government, thus it is not mandated or run by the Government.
"We don't have any bias," said Jeremy Art, Digital and Social Media Specialist for C-SPAN. " A lot of people have certain opinions about different networks, but at C-SPAN, we just want you to see the event in its entirety and make up your own mind.
The stops in Hattiesburg by the Campaign 2012 were sponsored by Comcast.
