Hattiesburg man arrested at Petal Walmart for auto theft

PETAL, MS (WDAM) - A Hattiesburg man was arrested outside the Petal Walmart Monday morning for allegedly stealing a vehicle from a local Hattiesburg dealership.

Nineteen year old Robert Lee is behind bars charged with commercial burglary and grand larceny. Authorities say they were apparently able to track Lee to the store using the vehicle's On-Star system. Police located the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot and took Lee into custody when he came out of the store. Hattiesburg Police were called in and arrived to take over custody from Petal Police.

He is currently being held in the Forrest County Detention Center.
