The city of Laurel continues studying sewer problem

LAUREL, MS (WDAM)- The city of Laurel continues to work on its multi-million dollar water sewer issue.

This week the city began the inflow and infiltration study on the sewer system. The study will assess the conditions of existing sewer by using a flowing monitor, a smoke test, and a video inspection.

Laurel Chief Administrative Officer Dennis Keveryn said over the next several months residents can expect to see the contractor, Compliance Environmental Services, working near manholes and lift stations.
