Six charged in Lamar County burglaries

LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Six people have been charged in 20 Lamar County residential burglaries.

Forty three year old Gregory Ray Lofton of Purvis and 34 Haroland Clifford Bramblett of Hattiesburg are charged in connection with the theft of a four wheel vehicle. Nineteen year old Joshua Stewart of Hattiesburg is charged with grand larceny in connection with residential burglaries that have occurred in the West Hattiesburg and Oak Grove area since mid summer. All are behind bars in the Lamar County Jail. Twenty two year old Chris Love, 19 year old Patrick Love, and an unidentified 17 year juvenile are also charged with residential burglary. They are in the Forrest County Jail where they are also facing charges.

Several stolen items were recovered by Lamar County investigators to include televisions, game boxes, computers, jewelry, and a guitar.

A warrant is also out for 18 year old Corey Chatman of Hattiesburg in connection with some of the burglaries. Sheriff Danny Rigel says the investigation continues and more arrests could be made.
