Two teens and adult seriously injured in Jones Co. accident

The following is a press release from the Jones County Fire Council

JONES CO., MS (WDAM) - Three people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident on Indian Springs Road at Lake Road late Friday afternoon.
 
The occupants of a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, who were brother and sister in there teens, were transported to SCRMC by EmServ ambulance service and both were later airlifted to University Medical Center in Jackson.
 
The occupant of a Chevrolet Tahoe, an adult female, was also transported to SCRMC by EmServ with serious injuries.
 
At approximately 4:45 p.m. Calhoun VFD rescue units and medical first responders were dispatched to the scene where the Chevrolet Tahoe, after colliding with the Dodge Dakota pickup, struck a utility pole. The Dodge Dakota pickup truck came to a stop when it ran into the front tongue of a nearby Mobile Home.
 
Rescue units from Soso VFD, Pleasant Ridge VFD, Powers medical first responder Lance Chancellor and Jones County Fire Coordinator Dan McKenna also responded to the accident along with several units from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.
 
The cause of the incident has not been determined and remains under investigation by the Jones County Sheriff's Department.
