Laurel Housing Authority plans to build houses for the elderly

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - The Laurel Housing Authority is hoping to build 100 new dwellings.

Director Kay Guy said the housing authority plans to demolish 130 old units on Beacon Street, Ferrell Street, and 13th Avenue so they can build a hundred modern dwelling for the elderly.

Guy said the dwelling will be duplexes and triplexes only with two bedrooms and two bathes.

    The new Miss Hospitality has been crowned in Hattiesburg.  She is Emma Grace McGrew, 18, of Booneville.
