Chi Omega Sorority grants a wish to a child for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Sisters from the Chi Omega Sorority at Southern Miss granted a wish to a child from Taylorsville for the Make-A-Wish foundation today.

15-year-old Dede Pugh was treated to a shopping spree in Hattiesburg. Dede arrived in a stretch hummer limo at Best Buy to the excitement of the Chi Omega sisters. Best Buy employees laid out the red carpet and welcomed her with royal treatment. Dede was escorted around the store and found several items to her liking.

Chi Omega's Make-A-Wish Chair Olivia Feeney says the sororities philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish foundation. All the money they raise throughout the year goes towards the foundation and the Hattiesburg community.

After the shopping spree, Dede was treated to lunch at Longhorns Steakhouse. This is Chi Omega's 60th year having the event.
