Mississippi Gifted Children its 37th Annual Conference in Hattiesburg

(WDAM) -  The Mississippi Association for Gifted Children kicked off its 37th annual conference in Hattiesburg Wednesday.

Psychometrist, school counselors, and gifted administrators from across the state gathered at the Lake Terrace Convention Center to discuss ways to help identify gifted students in the state.

Gifted officials say ten percent of students in Mississippi schools are considered to be gifted, while three to five percent of the kids in the nation are.

The Mississippi Association for Gifted Children President Elect Glenn Nobles said the conference will better help everyone identify gifted kids.
