JCJC open new building, holds Centennial Convocation

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM ) - Students and faculty members gathered at the M.P. Bush Fine Arts Auditorium Wednesday, for the Centennial Convocation Ceremony at Jones County Junior College.

During the ceremony, past presidents Terrell Tisdale and Ronald Whitehead reflected on the occasion and current President Jessie Smith said JCJC has built a legacy of greatness.

Also during the Centennial Celebration JCJC cut the ribbon on a brand new three story building called Jones Hall.

It's a 69,000 square foot facility that will house Humanities and Social Sciences. The facility has 21st century classrooms, conference rooms, and board rooms. The JCJC Foundation and Alumni offices will be located on the 3rd floor of the new facility.

Jones Hall is named after the Jones County Board of Supervisors.
